The Living standards in Australia are amongst the highest in the the world and generally considered higher than that of USA and UK. Students are rewarded with a lot of choice with quality in education.

Students are able to work part time while they study which helps them to bear the living expenses. Also international students can get scholarships, which can help to lower the cost of studying.

Almost 50,000 Chinese students started courses at Australian universities, colleges, and schools in 2016, which means these figures are nearly 20% up compared to 2015, which makes the Chinese student sector significantly more important than ever before to Australia's thriving export education sector.

The Federal government data estimates this equates to nearly a 12 % increase in the number of international students from all countries but by far the biggest number were from China - a record 45,500 plus in total.
