The BAS program is designed specifically for students who have earned an AAS from a regionally accredited institution. In completing the bachelor's, students complete all ASU graduation requirements.

The health and fitness field has many career options, so when you're trying to choose a career, you'll most likely want to first determine what type of degree you should pursue. Job options may differ if you earn an associate degree instead of a master's, for example. Some careers available within the health and fitness field include:

Health club manager
Wellness coach
Athletic coach
Fitness consultant
Positions such as personal trainer, wellness coach, fitness consultant and athletic coach involve working directly with individuals to help them to improve their physical fitness for health or athletic performance. Health club manager and fitness club owner are business-related positions in which the work is mostly administrative.
Course Overview
The concentration in health sciences is designed to provide the academic knowledge and skills to allow students with an associate degree from a previously approved health-related program to advance their employment opportunities within the health field, continue into a graduate program of study, or both.

Academic Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements Freshmen must have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school. Transfer students must have a minimum 2.50 GPA (a "C+" or better where "A"=4.00) from a college or university. Some ASU programs require a minimum transfer GPA of 3.00, including the W. P. Carey School of Business and Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. Some ASU programs may have higher admission requirements and may require a minimum ACT or SAT score. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
English Entry Requirement
