If you have studied computer sciences, you will have gained many technical and non-technical skills which are highly valued by employers, from leadership to programming. The increasing scope of computer science means you have plenty of choice in a wide variety of highly specialized areas. With computer technologies playing an ever growing role in all aspects of modern life, you re likely to find your computer science skills in high demand across many different industries. These include: financial organizations, management consultancy firms, software houses, communications companies, data warehouses, multinational companies (IT-related, financial services and others), governmental agencies, universities and hospitals. However, unsurprisingly, most graduates go into roles within the computer industry.
As always, it's extremely beneficial to have completed relevant work experience. Academic Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements Admission Requirements: ASU welcomes applications from students with diverse academic backgrounds and interests. Freshman applicants who possess a high school diploma and meet the following requirements will be admitted to ASU. English - 4 years (composition/literature based) Math - 4 years (algebra I, geometry, algebra II and one course requiring algebra II as a prerequisite) Laboratory Science - 3 years total (1 year each from any of the following areas are accepted: biology, chemistry, earth science, integrated sciences and physics) Social Science - 2 years (including 1 year American history) Second Language - 2 years (same language) Fine Arts or Career and Technical Education - 1 year Applicants must also meet at least one of the following: Top 25% in high school graduating class 3.00 GPA in competency courses (4.00 = "A") ACT 22 (24 nonresidents) SAT Reasoning 1120 (1180 nonresidents) Additional Requirements: Freshman admission requirements for this program are the same as the university's freshman admission requirements. Readmission requirements: Students must have a 3.00 transfer GPA (if applicable) and a 3.00 cumulative ASU GPA. Transfer applicants must have a 3.00 GPA for all transfer work and meet university transfer admission requirements. Transfer students should select an additional major, which must be outside W. P. Carey School of Business, when applying for admission. Students with fewer than 45 transfer hours who are not admissible to a W. P. Carey School of Business major and who did not select a second major or are not admissible to their second major choice will be placed in the exploratory social and behavioral sciences program in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts. Students with more than 45 transfer hours who are not admissible to a W. P. Carey School of Business major and who did not select a second major or are not admissible to their second major choice will be prompted in My ASU to select a new major.
