Course Highlights

This double degree combines the practical, problem-solving skills of Computer Science and programming with the high-level analytical, research and communication skills of Law.

Career Opportunities

If you have studied computer sciences, you will have gained many technical and non-technical skills which are highly valued by employers, from leadership to programming. The increasing scope of computer science means you have plenty of choice in a wide variety of highly specialized areas. With computer technologies playing an ever growing role in all aspects of modern life, you re likely to find your computer science skills in high demand across many different industries. These include: financial organizations, management consultancy firms, software houses, communications companies, data warehouses, multinational companies (IT-related, financial services and others), governmental agencies, universities and hospitals. However, unsurprisingly, most graduates go into roles within the computer industry. As always, it's extremely beneficial to have completed relevant work experience. You should also consider compiling a portfolio of your own independent projects outside of your degree, which could be in the form of programming, moderating online or even building an app. This will demonstrate to employers your interest in the subject and your problem-solving skills, creativity and initiative.

Course Overview

This will enable you to acquire specialist knowledge and skills across the continually changing landscape of Information Communication & Technology (ICT). These skills can be applied across a wide range of applications and you will learn how the structure of data plays an important role in delivering solutions to complex problems. In the first year of your Law double degree, your Bachelor of Laws subjects must be completed full-time, except where Faculty approval is given on equity grounds. In the following four years of the degree, students will study subjects from both degrees. Refer to the Bachelor of Laws and the Bachelor of Computer Science for more information majors and electives available. They believe that practical experience is a vital part of your legal training. We are the only law school in New South Wales that requires you to complete a legal internship. This means you get to apply your legal knowledge to real life situations as part of your degree.
